In 2009 High Point Racing and Racecar Factory built a brand new Super Late Model to have driver Travis Thirkettle race in the Toyota All Star Showdown. Although the rainy weather shortened the race, the car was victorious in it's first outing. After a mid season wreck the car was rebuilt as a late model and sat on the outside pole for the start of the 2010 Toyota All Star Showdown with Rookie Late Model Driver and 2009 Spec Truck Series Champion Rod Johnson Jr. RJ has already proved his abilities in a Late Model and certainly will be up front bettling for a Championship each and every weekend.
